Esther is the Principal Relationship Manager at the Tertiary Education Commission, based in Tamaki Makaurau. Her role is a sector-facing one, working with a range of TEOs (including the PTE Peak Bodies) to support them where needed to help ensure all New Zealanders are best equipped with the knowledge and skills they need for lifelong success.

Esther has worked with the TEC (and its predecessors) for over 29 years since migrating to New Zealand from Scotland. Esther considers it a huge privilege to support TEOs as they put their passion and energy into transforming the lives of learners.

Living on a lifestyle block in rural Franklin with her husband, they have an 11 year old son, 3 sheep, and 10 chooks (listed in order of most significant food consumption).
